Turf Room
I think we will keep eating here every Saturday until we have eaten everything on the menu. Its so nice in there on a cold rainy day in October. The fireplace is great and it smells good. They even have Stella glasses.
We can’t say enough good things about this place and its so close to home. Why did we not go there before now? Guess it was the Off Track Betting thing…
Merc, you were right, the food is really good.
Sara and Pam you need to come for lunch!

Labriola
We lunched at Labriola Bakery Cafe in Oakbrook today. We feel passionate about this place, even though the name sounds like a body part. We found this place by accident when we were shopping at Arhous furniture store several months ago. We thought it was just a bakery, we were wrong. They even have Stella! The food is so good that you cannot decide what you want. You have to go up and order like at Panera, but this is so much better than Panera. It’s not even in the same league. When you look around at other tables and what they are eating, oh my god, everything looks so good.
The only real negative is that it is hard to get a table and its always crowded on Saturdays. Sara said the Prosciutto Wrapped Chicken sandwich was good although the chicken was a little dry. The fries made up for that. Our Labriola Speciality Buffalo Pizza with San Marzano Tomatoes & Basil was to die for, I am still thinking about it.
Pam, you have to meet us there. Room and Board is close too…

Ya Ya's at Sergio's
We ate outside upstairs on the deck at Sergio’s in Geneva. It was nice up there. We ate from the ‘light’ menu, enchiladas, flautas and tacos. Light means no guac, no sour cream or cheese. It was ok, it didn’t make us horribly full, so that was good. We drank Pacifico’s and Sangria. Pacifico is almost as good as Stella. Pam said there were too many raw onions in the food, probably won’t go back there again. Too many restaurants and too few Saturdays. Later, we had a chocolate cupcake at a new cupcake place in Geneva. Don’t remember the name of the place, but the chocolate was really chocolaty.
It was a good day in Geneva at the Festival of Vine (aka Festival of the Bees) except for seeing the racist asshole with a huge poster of President Obama wearing a Hitler mustache. Left a really bad taste.
