Honey
We went to Trader Joe’s, to a used book store and Ten Thousand Villages in Glen Ellyn today. We ate at a nice place in town called Honey. It had a good menu and great food for a Saturday lunch. The beer was Prairie Path, brewed in Warrenville! Nice experience, especially liked the white flowers at every table. Pam - you miss so much by not coming out to the burbs!

Turf Room
I think we will keep eating here every Saturday until we have eaten everything on the menu. Its so nice in there on a cold rainy day in October. The fireplace is great and it smells good. They even have Stella glasses. We can’t say enough good things about this place and its so close to home. Why did we not go there before now? Guess it was the Off Track Betting thing… Merc, you were...

Labriola
We lunched at Labriola Bakery Cafe in Oakbrook today. We feel passionate about this place, even though the name sounds like a body part.  We found this place by accident when we were shopping at Arhous furniture store several months ago. We thought it was just a bakery, we were wrong. They even have Stella!  The food is so good that you cannot decide what you want. You have to go up and order like...

Ya Ya's at Sergio's
We ate outside upstairs on the deck at Sergio’s in Geneva. It was nice up there. We ate from the ‘light’ menu, enchiladas, flautas and tacos. Light means no guac,  no sour cream or cheese. It was ok, it didn’t make us horribly full, so that was good.  We drank Pacifico’s and Sangria. Pacifico is almost as good as Stella. Pam said there were too many raw onions in the...

Best sandwich we know
Our lunch started outside at the Filling Station in St. Charles, we ordered a Stella and looked over the menu. We made the mistake of talking about the sandwich at Ivy’s in Wheaton, so we ended up leaving the Filling Station without eating. There was a lady smoking next to us anyway and it was hot and noisy, the menu was meh. At Ivy’s we ordered the sandwich-  Chipolte Turkey. Jesus,...
